Running an OSPO the Open Source / InnerSource way

In this session Thomas will share the story of how a few years ago instead of following the usual path of buying solutions he and his team chose to use industry collaboration and InnerSource as the way to address the open source / engineering challenges within their organization. Thomas will show how a combination of participating in industry working groups, contributing to standards, and building an open source / InnerSource policy automation tool enabled the Open Source Program Office (OSPO) to deliver value to the company and its customers, and tried to make life easier for its developers. It also enabled growth of people’s skills in this area, relationships across the world, and improved open source compliance, security and engineering standards across the organization.
