New Members Elected to the InnerSource Commons Foundation

We are excited to announce our new InnerSource Commons (ISC) Foundation Members: Frédéric Sicot Mouret, Jenna Ritten, Micaela Eller, and Shingo Oidate.

The InnerSource Commons community welcomes everyone. However, certain individuals are nominated and invited to become ISC Foundation Members as a way of honoring their significant contributions to the Foundation.

Much like the model used by the Apache Software Foundation, existing ISC Members identify and nominate key contributors each year, followed by a vote to bring in new Members. Membership is based solely on merit and is granted to individuals only.

Since InnerSource Commons is structured as a membership-based organization, ISC Members collectively own and govern the Foundation (similar to how shareholders operate in a public company.)

Each of these new Members has played a pivotal role in growing and strengthening InnerSource Commons:

• Frédéric Sicot Mouret founded the Open Source Program Office at Airbus and is a regular voice at the InnerSource Summit, most recently speaking on generative AI at InnerSource Summit 2025.
• Jenna Ritten co-created and now leads IBM’s InnerSource Ecosystem worldwide, founded IBM Hacktoberfest in partnership with Digital Ocean and MLH, and led the effort to bring InnerSource Summit to New York.
• Micaela Eller has led InnerSource Offices at IBM and EY, has been a Summit speaker since 2022, was a key organizer of the 2025 Summit, and serves on the InnerSource Commons Board.
• Shingo Oidate leads InnerSource evangelism across Japan and, as General Manager of Mitsubishi Electric’s Open Source Program Office, hosted InnerSource Summit 2025 in Yokohama.

“Each of these four has already shaped InnerSource Commons in real ways - standing up InnerSource offices inside major enterprises, bringing our Summit to new corners of the world, and helping practitioners everywhere put InnerSource into practice. Welcoming them as Members simply makes official the work they have been doing for our community for years, and I could not be more pleased to do it,” said Addie Cobb, Chair of InnerSource Commons.
